Konstantin Teofilis, autorov alter-ego, našao se pred egzistencijalnom odlukom: ostati u zavičaju, mediteransko-dinarskoj zemlji gdje je sve ključne istine izrekao Njegoš, a sirotinja glasa za ratne zločince, u sredini epske svjesti gdje se deseterac izgubio samo iz broja slogova, ali je njegov temeljni obrazac i dalje živ u svemu ostalome, ili se odazvati pozivu u Zapadni raj, koji međutim više nalikuje na Limb.
